Troubleshooting and FAQ

My menu does not appear. Menus are created in Online Store > Navigation, not in the theme editor. Create the menu first, then select it in the Header section.

My mega menu has no image. Add a Menu feature block to the Header section, and type the top level menu item into Menu item exactly as it appears in your menu, including capitalization.

The header is invisible over my hero. Set Text color over the first section to light for dark images and dark for light ones, or raise the hero's Overlay.

My hero heading is broken across too many lines. Raise Content width on the hero. Lower values give a taller, more stacked heading.

There are no filters on my collection page. Filters come from Shopify. Install the free Search & Discovery app and set up your filters there.

Swatches are not showing. Two things are needed. Set up swatches in Settings > Products > Swatches in your admin, and make sure Swatch option name in Theme settings > Product cards matches your option name exactly, usually Color.

The second product image does not appear on hover. The product needs at least two images, and Image hover effect in Theme settings > Animations must be set to Show second image. There is no hover on a touch screen, which is by design.

Recommended products are missing. Shopify needs order history before it can recommend related products. On a new store the section removes itself until there is enough data. Complementary products are ones you pair yourself, in the Search & Discovery app.

Pickup availability is not shown. Enable local pickup for a location in Settings > Shipping and delivery.

Shop Pay Installments is not showing. It appears when your store is eligible and the order value is in the supported range. Eligibility is set by Shopify, not by the theme.

Can I have a countdown timer or a stock counter? No. Shopify does not allow Theme Store themes to display invented urgency, stock counts, or visitor counts, and Atelier will not add them.

Can I use my own font? Only fonts in the Shopify font library can be used with the font picker. A developer can add a custom font by editing the theme code, but that is outside the support we provide.

My changes are not showing on the live store. Check that you are editing the published theme. In Online Store > Themes, the live theme is at the top; anything under Theme library is a draft.
